EJ Hassenfratz is a multi-Emmy winning freelance motion design artist based out of Denver, Colorado. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, EJ has conducted numerous webinars and presented at events such as NAB, Adobe Video World, and Siggraph. He creates tutorials for School of Motion and lynda.com and is a regular contributor to the Maxon blog. EJ's passion for creating engaging content and sharing his knowledge with others has made him a highly respected figure in the motion design community.

Chris Schmidt

Chris Schmidt is a well-known figure in the Maxon community, having provided workflow-enhancing plugins, tutorials, and live-streamed knowledge for over two decades. He is the founder of Rocket Lasso, a resource for artists looking to improve their skills and workflow. Chris is a regular presenter at events such as NAB, Siggraph, and Adobe Video World, and is a popular Twitch streamer who tackles a wide variety of topics and questions live from the audience every Wednesday. His extensive knowledge and dedication to helping others have made him a highly respected and beloved member of the motion design community.

Jonathan Winbush

Jonathan Winbush is an award-winning motion graphics artist with over a decade of experience in television, virtual, and augmented reality. He is the owner of Winbush Immersive and an official Unreal partner, creating amazing content on his YouTube Channel about Unreal Engine, Motion Graphics, Virtual Production, and Interactive Development. Jonathan has been a featured presenter at events such as NAB, Siggraph, and Half Rez, and his work has been recognized by numerous industry awards, including an Emmy. His dedication to exploring the cutting edge of technology and pushing the boundaries of motion graphics has made him a highly respected figure in the community.

Mathias Omotola

Mathias Omotola has worked as a Fortune 500 sales and marketing specialist to a digital artist, with a passion for Visual Effects / Special effects and motion design. Pulling from his diverse background, Mathias has focused and adopted the principle of “form follows function”, associated with modern architecture and industrial design in the 20th century. This philosophy has allowed Mathias to keep the final result of his creations and their purpose, top of mind throughout the design process. Over the last 14 years, Mathias has operated as Manager of events community for Maxon.

Dave Koss

Dave Koss is a motion graphics artist under the handle Zeta.art. He is also owner of Nexus Motion, an animation studio in Dallas, TX. He's part owner of Mograph.com, an online community for motion graphics artists. Over the years, he has worked on numerous high-profile projects for clients such as Deadmau5, EA Sports, George Strait, and Oprah Winfrey. He co-hosts the Mograph Podcast weekly with Matt Milstead on Mograph.com. Dave also maintains Mograph.com's 24/7 Motion Graphics Channel called MographTV. Additionally, he is one of the directors of Camp Mograph, a 4-day immersive retreat for animators & motion designers with workshops, networking, and campfire gatherings led by top industry artists.

Brilly

Brilly, Formerly Known As Locked And Loading is a Digital Artist from the USA. Born and raised in Philly, starting his career in Chi-Town, and currently living in St. Pete, he has created a variety of digital artworks. His client list includes some of the largest brands in the world such as Google, Gucci, STARZ, Adobe, Nike, Audi, BMW, and Air Jordan to name a few. He also has created visuals for musical artists such as Skrillex, Amon Tobin, Drake, Scott Storch, DJ Carnage, and Diplo's Mad Decent Label. In addition to creating under his own brand and client work, he is also a 3D animation professor at one of the top art colleges in the world, Ringling College of Art and Design. His personal work is known for having a wide range of imagery through his various "Series" Collections. He has been creating his trademark art series for over ten straight years.

Michael Szabo

Michael Szabo is a senior motion designer and 3D animation professor from South Florida. He’s is a graduate of the University of Florida with a wide-ranging design career spanning across television, video production, animation, and visual effects.

He is a dedicated educator, authoring a book on 3D design software, publishing software video training and lessons, as well as demonstrating artistic techniques during online design presentations. He’s been teaching classes on 3D design and animation to art students for the past 8 years and enjoys sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for art and technology with the next generation of digital artists.

Alex Arenas

Alex has utilized his mechanical engineering knowledge from Florida State University with a self-driven passion for motion graphics and 3D animation, and has built a career over 12 years as a self-taught artist in this dynamic field. His experience spans from agencies, to working as a lead motion graphics artist at the Miami HEAT to collaborations with entities like the, the Philadelphia FLYERS, State Farm, Formula 1, and local entities like the MARLINS, Club E11EVEN and more. Currently at the forefront of Media Monsters as a director of VFX and Motion Control operator, Alex blends his technical knowledge with creative innovation, always eager to learn new skills, techniques, and tools as he navigates the ever-evolving landscape of visual storytelling.

Eric Cornish

Dr. Eric Cornish is a Professor of Graphic & Motion Design at Miami Dade College and brings over 20 years of expertise to the realms of graphic design, motion graphics, and animation. With a BFA in Graphic Design, an MFA in Computer Animation, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, his influence extends globally, impacting digital and print design on an international scale. As an esteemed Adobe Education Leader, Dr. Cornish actively shapes student experiences by sharing his rich insights on design trends that connect design education with the design industry. He is the creative force behind Miami Dade College's annual D3 Art & Design Conference, exploring traditional art, digital design, and technology. This success led to the establishment of the Digital Design Den (D3), a collaborative lab space on campus, exclusively for design students. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Cornish leads students on design-focused cultural immersion programs in Europe and Asia during the summer term, showcasing his commitment to education and design innovation on a global stage.

Rutamfi

Ruth Burotte was born in Queens, NYC, and lives and works in Miami, Florida. Burotte received a bachelor's Degree in Art and technology from the University of Florida in 2021. Burotte works in multiple mediums such as illustration, painting, digital art, 3D design, and animation, focusing on character design with inclusions of story-telling. Ruth has been involved in local urban art projects to lead communities in a new cultural direction. Influenced by Japanese anime, street style, and graffiti, she indulge in the visual language of character design to examine the ideas of capitalist consumption, identity, and self-awareness of first-world culture. She is developing underrepresented characters, usually black and female, and subverting the aggressive archetypes to overtake expectations. Her work is driven by a desire to explore the intersection between art, technology, and society, and strive to create immersive experiences that showcase the absurdities of the place and time we currently reside in and to understand that many objects and concepts we interact with can become a part of our identity.

Darlene Sanchez

Darlene Sanchez is an award-winning 3D Motion Designer who currently works as the Motion Graphics Creative Manager for NHL team Tampa Bay Lightning and as a freelancer on the side. She has been working in the sports industry for 7 years. She leads a team of three designers while producing her own work for the in-game entertainment at Amalie Arena across various formats. Darlene likes to blend her love for cinematic titles into her sports work. Her personal work is a mix of dark tones and vibrant colors with a high attention to detail, exploring subjects outside the realm of hockey. Darlene uses her passion to continue to learn and grow while keeping up with the fast pace that is the world of sports. She recently released a tutorial course with the new Motion Design Academy from Motion Designers Community.

Kristin Sjoquist

Kristin Sjoquist is a freelance motion designer based in Sarasota, Florida. Currently collaborating with A+E Networks, she brings stories to life through her exceptional motion graphics skills, enriching viewer experiences on popular channels like Lifetime and the History Channel. With nearly a decade of industry experience, she has created motion graphics for a diverse corporate universe including Hasbro, ESPN, and NBC LX. A graduate of Ringling College of Art + Design, Kristin often volunteers at the school as a guest critic. A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Kristin consistently emphasizes the value of continued education, advocating that even seemingly trivial information can be a key to unforeseen opportunities and successes. Her mantra, “Never stop learning,” resonates with both her colleagues and mentees, underlining her belief in the endless possibilities that arise from curiosity and education.

Steph Hallett

Originally a film student turned animator, my love for storytelling and illustration has led me to who I am and what I do today. I’m a big fan of collaborating and learning from fellow creatives and thrive in environments where inspo and good vibes are plentiful.

In my spare time I enjoy watching tutorials, recommending movies & cracking my neck.
